REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL FOR DETAILED DESIGN AND CONTRACT ADMINISTRATION FOR THE MORRIS RING DIKE JAMES STREET PUMP STATION

Manitoba Infrastructure (MI) – Water Management Engineering and Construction is inviting qualified Engineering Service Providers (ESP) to submit a proposal to undertake Professional Engineering Services to undertake the detailed design and contract administration for the James Street Pump Station in the Town of Morris, Manitoba. The assignment includes the following:

Carry out any additional survey and geotechnical investigation the ESP determines is necessary to facilitate detail design and contract administration
Hydraulic design
Geotechnical investigation and design including subsurface soil investigation for use in design.
Structural design including inlet/wet well structure and building structure, forcemains, discharge chamber, discharge piping and outlet.
Public safety
Electrical, instrumentation and mechanical design including Arc Flash Hazard rating, HVAC systems, process piping (pumps, valves, fittings, and pump motor layout), PTO driven back up power source, and coordination with Manitoba Hydro for new electrical service.
Civil design including municipal services outside of the building.
Decommissioning the existing flood pump station
Environmental requirements
Prepare special provisions, technical specifications and drawings, and perform construction contract administration and inspection.
