040712 - DESIGN, SUPPLY AND FABRICATION OF TRAVELLING GATE HOIST - SLAVE FALLS GS

Purpose:
Issuing this RFP, Manitoba Hydro desires to secure an experienced Contractor to design, manufacture, supply, install, commission and test a new sluiceway travelling gate hoist at the Slave Falls Generating Station. 
 
Scope of Work:
The Work shall consist of all that is required for the design and supply of a new travelling sluiceway gate hoist at the Slave Falls Generating Station as described in the Technical Requirements, and consisting of, but not limited to, the following ITEMS:
 ITEM 1 – Design, supply, fabrication and delivery of a new travelling gate hoist
 ITEM 2 – Supply of services of an Engineer or Crane Inspector during installation
 ITEM 3 – Site testing and commissioning of travelling gate hoist
 ITEM 4 - Training
 ITEM 5 - Adjust unloaded low travel speed of the existing stop log hoist (Purchaser’s Option)
 ITEM 6 – Installation of new travelling gate hoist (Purchaser’s Option)
 ITEM 7 – Decommission, removal and disposal of the existing screw gate hoist (Purchaser’s Option)
 ITEM 8 - Site testing remobilization (Purchaser’s Option)
 ITEM 9 – Supply of Spare Parts (Purchaser’s Option)
 ITEM 10 – Shop assembly of racks and alignment verification testing prior to delivery (Purchaser’s Option)

MANDATORY SITE EXAMINATION
A mandatory site visit/meeting will be held on October 24, 2017 at 10:00 hours

NOTE: Failure to attend the mandatory meeting will disqualify a Proponent from further participation in this procurement process.
