2017-48-T-7248 - Interior Refresh and Mechanical Upgrade

This bid opportunity is open to all interested suppliers.
Manitoba Housing requires the services of a general contractor to perform an interior refresh and mechanical upgrades to a one storey seniors housing complex. The work done in the building was split into three stages. This is the third and final stage. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, suite conversion of 10 bachelor suites into six one bedroom suites, and upgrades to the common areas, kitchen and mechanical systems.
The areas of the building not undergoing construction during this stage of the project will be occupied during construction. The suites undergoing conversion will be vacant. Access to the common areas will be maintained until construction of these areas begins, then access to tenants will be unavailable.
Approximate budget for the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for November 7, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. CST.
Deadline for questions is November 16, 2017. All questions must be submitted to the Contract Administrator at nicole.doherty@gov.mb.ca.
Deadline for "Requests for Equals" is 10 days before the submission deadline. Anyone wishing to submit a request for equal must complete the form on the website www.gov.mb.ca/housing/mh/business/procurement.html and submit to the project manager at brian.stoesz@gov.mb.ca. The form must be completed in its entirety or may be rejected.
Bid submission deadline is November 28, 2017 at 2:00:00 P.M. This is an ebid submission and all bids must be uploaded through MERX. No other form of submission is accepted for this tender.
