Description

This bid opportunity is open to all interested suppliers.
Manitoba Housing requires the services of a general contractor to perform renovations to a space located on the main floor of a six storey apartment building to accommodate a daycare. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to:
•    Exterior: New exit handrail and reinforced concrete slab.
•    Interior: Selective flooring replacement, selective door replacement, selective door hardware replacement and access system upgrade,
      cabinetry, painting, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures. Mechanical, electrical, and fire alarm and lighting systems upgrade.
•    The mechanical and electrical systems will be upgraded for improved occupant comfort and improved energy efficiency from the
     existing systems.
The space will not be occupied during construction. Tenants will occupy the remaining six stories and adjacent spaces.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for May 17, 2018 at 10:00 A.M.
Deadline for questions is May 24, 2018. All questions must be submitted to the Contract Administrator at nicole.doherty@gov.mb.ca.
Deadline for "Requests for Equals" is 10 days before the submission deadline. Anyone wishing to submit a request for equal must complete the form on the website www.gov.mb.ca/housing/mh/business/procurement.html and submit to the Contract Administrator at nicole.doherty@gov.mb.ca. The form must be completed in its entirety or may be rejected.
Bonding will be required for bids equal to or over $100,000.
Bid submission deadline is May 31, 2018 at 2:00:00 P.M. This is an ebid submission and all bids must be uploaded through MERX. No other form of submission is accepted for this tender.
Please read the tender documents carefully regarding the ebid requirements. Make sure you obtain your PIN number from MERX well in advance of the deadline in order to upload your tender submission.
