This bid opportunity is open to all interested suppliers.
Manitoba Housing requires the services of a general contractor to perform a common area refresh to a one storey elderly persons housing building. The Scope of Work includes, but is not limited to, kitchen, washroom, and crawlspace upgrades, ceiling and drywall finishes, new interior doors, flooring, painting, and lighting. Please note the crawlspace is considered a confined space and anyone entering that space must be certified in confined space entry.
Approximate budget for the project is between $100,000 and $500,000.
An optional site visit is scheduled for January 9, 2018 at 11:00 A.M.
Deadline for questions is January 18, 2018. All questions must be submitted to the Contract Administrator at nicole.doherty@gov.mb.ca.
Deadline for "Requests for Equals" is 10 days before the submission deadline. Anyone wishing to submit a request for equal must complete the form on the website www.gov.mb.ca/housing/mh/business/procurement.html and submit to the project manager at susanne.yatkowski@gov.mb.ca. The form must be completed in its entirety or may be rejected.
Bid submission deadline is January 30, 2018 at 2:00:00 P.M. This is an ebid submission and all bids must be uploaded through MERX. No other form of submission is accepted for this tender.
Please read the tender documents carefully regarding the ebid requirements. Make sure you obtain your PIN number from MERX well in advance of the deadline in order to upload your tender submission.

All Bidders are to meet at the front entrance of 225 Evenson St. prior to 11:00 a.m. to sign the Site Visit Attendance sheet.
If Bidders are not available to attend the scheduled site visit but still wish to view the site, an appointment may be arranged by contacting the Project Manager, Susanne Yatkowski, at 204-485-2765. Manitoba Housing provides all tenants 48 hours notice prior to entering a unit. All Bidders requesting to view the interior of an occupied site must allow the Project Manager time to provide notice to the tenants.
