The department of Advanced Education and Training (AET) is responsible for government policy and programing priorities related to higher education, student support and adult learning and literacy. With funding from Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) through their Skills for Success (SFS) fund, AET is looking to develop new, and revise the existing Manitoba Stages/Étapes Framework material for adult learners and practitioners in English and French, strengthening the ability of adult literacy learners to succeed in education, training and employment.
Skills for Success is a framework of nine foundational and transferable skills developed by ESDC to help Canadians, at all skill levels, to better prepare for and succeed in the workplace.
The Manitoba government received funding from ESDC for projects to be completed by March 31, 2024.
Manitoba may extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to one (1) year. The decision to exercise the additional term shall be at the sole discretion of Manitoba.
This project will renew the existing Manitoba Stages/Étapes Framework material for adult learners and practitioners, strengthening the ability of adult literacy learners to succeed in education, training and employment.
