Description

The Government of Manitoba, as represented by the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living (MHSAL), requests Proposals from qualified Proponents meeting the requirements contained in this Request for Proposals (RFP) to provide:
New medical remuneration forecasting model(s) that will improve forecasting results and reduce the reported variance between forecasted and actual medical remuneration. The services include training to MHSAL staff on the use and maintenance of the medical remuneration forecasting model(s).

Expenditure on health services provided by physicians and other medical professionals constitute about 24% of total health care spending in Manitoba. Given the size of the medical budget, annual variations in forecasted medical expenditure has significant impacts on the performance of the whole health sector budget. MHSAL is seeking to improve medical expenditure forecasting to help reduce unexpected deficits and surpluses in this budget line item.

Manitoba may invite the top-ranked Proponent, as determined through the evaluation process, to enter into negotiations to finalize the Agreement.
