Description

Sealed tenders will be received at the office of Prairie Architects Inc. at Unit 101-139
Market Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3B OP5, T: 204-956-0938, for MARION
SCHOOL ELEVATOR AND ENVELOPE, Tuesday, February 1, 2022, before 2:00:00
PM Central Standard Time.
This project is located at Marion School, 619 Des Meurons Street, Wpg., MB., and
consists of the following work:
• A new elevator within the existing School along with alterations to the
existing classrooms to accommodate.
• A new main entry and 2nd floor office infill with new roof infill above.
• Excavation of the existing crawlspace & underpinning of existing exterior
grade beams.
• New over-cladding exterior walls & windows.
• New main entry stairs, ramp and canopy.
• New ramps/stairs and smaller canopies and three existing entrances
• New exit from Gymnasium
• Interior renovation to an existing Grooming Room.
• Interior renovation of an existing storage room into a UTR.
• Interior renovations of existing offices.
• Alternate Prices for Kindergarten room modifications, additional roof access,
and new countertops to classroom millwork throughout.
The elevator is to be a concrete block on a concrete grade beam and pile foundation
system. Estimated Project Budget is $4.37 million. Tender documents will be available
at Winnipeg Construction Association, Construction Association of Rural Manitoba
(CARM), and MERX starting Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A mandatory site examination with the Consultant and the Owner’s representative as outlined in 2.7.7, is scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, January 14, 2022, located at Marion School, 619 Des Meurons Street, Winnipeg, MB. Attendees shall meet at the main office at this time. Bids will not be accepted from invited bidders that have not attended the mandatory site visit. Proof of vaccination is required for attendance.
