2019-196 - Emergency Department Redevelopment

Redevelopment of the Emergency Department in the Pine Falls Health Complex is intended to increase safety and security, improve operational requirements and reduce risk.  This will involve controlling and improving public access and flow through control doors and functional layout, and accommodating security in the waiting room.  Providing an appropriate space for mental health consultation.  Compliance with the Brian Sinclair Inquest recommendations for patient waiting and increasing seating capacity.  Improved emergency reception, confidentiality, triage and waiting.  The project will include approximately 3015 square feet of interior renovated floor area, a new exterior canopy and new paving.
