Full Title: Supply & Installation of New PVC Pool Membrane & Related Works - St. Vital Outdoor Pool - 5 Des Meurons Street
D2. SCOPE OF WORK
D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the supply and installation of
new 60 mil PVC pool membrane and related works at St. Vital Outdoor Pool located at 5 Des Meurons
Street, Winnipeg Manitoba.
D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Provide means of disposal and storage of disposed materials, debris and other materials in
close proximity to the pool work site.
(b) To complete any necessary localized repairs to existing concrete pool substrate surfaces to
accept new pool PVC membrane and associated pool components, as required.
(c) To broom clean, tidy and sanitize pool surfaces and void any loose debris as required to
accommodate new PVC pool membrane, as per pool liner manufacturer’s specifications and written
installation instructions.
(d) Application of new 60 mil PVC pool membrane at pool tank floors, walls, beach entry ramp,
pool spray features, termination to be at top of pool walls at pool tank top, as per pool liner
manufacturers specifications and written installation instructions.
(e) All penetrations shall be terminated with compression flanges.
(f) Complete additional perimeter caulking, detail work, finish work to make a complete
watertight installation.
(g) To supply and install new pool products which shall include, but not limited to the
following: PVC coated weld track, 150 mil anti-microbial fleece underlay membrane, 60 mil nylon
reinforced PVC membrane lining, compression flanges and liquid PVC seam sealer.
(h) Replacement of main drains, skimmers, return inlets/outlets, vacuum ports, lane rope anchors,
etc. to meet the current requirements of the plumbing code as well as the Public Health Act and
Regulation MR132/97.
(i) Contractor to submit engineered shop drawings to the Contract Administrator of the pool
products, installation and product cut sheets (i.e. main pool drains, skimmers, return inlets,
vacuum ports, etc.).
(j) Bonding/grounding of pool components as required by electrical code and the Public Health
Act and Regulation MR132/97.
(k) To supply and install depth markings and demarcation lines on vertical walls and pool base
floor at required points.
(l) Provide extra maintenance material for 60 mil PVC membrane and 11 oz. felt material (1
complete roll).
(m) Pool and deck markings shall conform to 2015 City of Winnipeg Accessibility Design Standards
(WADS) and the Manitoba Health Swimming Pools and Other Recreational Facilities Regulation
(MR132/97).
(n) Water pressure tests for the supply, return and main drains for any potential leaks and
commissioning of the new membrane and all new pool components.
(o) Final complete vacuuming, cleaning and washing of all surfaces affected by demolition and rk,
suitable for pool filling.
(p) Drawings presented in Part E and Appendices B and C, are provided strictly as an visual aid, and all information in them shall be verified by the Contractor to ensure their accuracy. Any changes resulting from renovations, maintenance, damage or deterioration since that time would not be included.
