D2. SCOPE OF WORK
D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of removal and replacement of existing corroded or damaged superstructure components, venting and/or fabric.
D2.2 The major components of the Work are:
(a)Mobilization and demobilization, misc. supplies/small parts.(b)Supply replacement end wall 1 - including steel, fabric, and tension hardware. New vent framing for existing vents. Converted to closed end w/o door opening. Upgraded to epoxy coated end wall steel. (Salt side of the building)(c)Supply replacement end wall 2 cover only. Includes new tension hardware, new vent frames for existing vents. Converted to closed end w/o door opening. (Sand side of the building)(d)Supply replacement cover section for torn main cover. Existing tension hardware to be used. (70' section)(e)Install end wall 1 removal including all framing, fabric, and doors. Save vents for reuse. Reinstall closed end wall steel, fabric and vents.(f)Install end wall 2 cover removal, door + framing removal. Save vents for reuse. Reinstall fabric closed end wall and vents.(g)Install - Replace main cover and any damaged Box winches, ratchets, etc. throughout the building. Includes cleaning and covering existing rafters with repair tape to help prevent future damage.

B3. SITE INVESTIGATION
B3.1 Further to C3.1, the Bidder may make an appointment to view the Site by contacting the Contract Administrator.
B3.2 The Bidder is advised that access to the Sand and Salt Facility is through the maintenance yard from Chevrier Blvd. just west of Waverley St. Maintain a slow speed while travelling in the yard and be alert for moving equipment and vehicles.
B3.3 The Bidder shall not be entitled to rely on any information or interpretation received at the Site investigation unless that information or interpretation is the Bidder’s direct observation, or is provided by the Contract Administrator in writing.
B3.4 The Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Site, the nature of the Work to be done and all conditions that might affect their Bid or their performance of the Work, and shall assume all risk for conditions existing or arising in the course of the Work which have been or could have been determined through such inspection.
