D3. SCOPE OF WORK
D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
(a) Pavement Rehabilitation
(i) River Avenue – Osborne Street to Wellington Crescent
(ii) Stradbrook Avenue – Wellington Crescent to Osborne Street
(iii) Wellington Crescent – River Avenue to Stradbrook Avenue
(b) Protected Bike Lane Construction
(i) River Avenue – Harkness Avenue to Osborne Street
(ii) Stradbrook Avenue –Osborne Street to Harkness Avenue
D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Pavement Rehabilitation
(i) Planing of existing asphalt as required;
(ii) Renewal of existing sidewalk as required;
(iii) Construction of concrete sidewalk with block outs;
(iv) Renewal of existing sidewalk;
(v) Installation of detectable warning surface tiles;
(vi) Installation of catch basin/catch pits and connection pipe;
(vii) Abandon existing drainage inlets;
(viii) Full-depth concrete repairs of existing joints and slabs;
(ix) Construction of bike separation median;
(x) Installation of green durable pavement markings;
(xi) Planing / Removal / Renewal of existing barrier curb as required;
(xii) Construction of barrier curb;
(xiii) Adjustment of existing catch basins, manholes and appurtenances;
(xiv) Placement of pavement repair fabric as required;
(xv) Placement of asphalt overlay (90mm average thickness);
(xvi) Installation of poly-posts;
(xvii) Installation of Traffic Signals Bases, Service Pits and Conduits;
(xviii) Boulevard restoration, sod, and tree removal.
(b) Protected Bike Lane Construction
(i) Planing of existing asphalt as required;
(ii) Renewal of existing sidewalk as required;
