371-2021 - Replacement of Carpet and Related Works - 245 Smith Street

D2. SCOPE OF WORK
D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of replacement of carpet tile in various locations at 245 Smith Street, as per Drawing and Specifications.
D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Contractor shall perform site measurements during site investigation meeting to confirm correct quantity of carpet tiles to be ordered.
(b) Remove all existing carpet in project scope areas or units, clean and prepare existing subfloor substrate surfaces as per flooring manufacturers written installation instructions to receive new carpet tile.
(c) Remove existing carpet and rubber wall base in project scope areas or units, and supply and install new rubber cove base to match to all walls, unless otherwise noted.
(d) Construction to be completed during regular business hours and to coordinate with City of Winnipeg for phasing of work.
(e) The project scope areas or units in the building are staffed 24/7 and should a major incident arise the prime contractor and their subtrades will need to vacate the area and building immediately. They will be notified by the Contract Administrator when to return.
(f) Workstations to remain and be fully operational during carpet replacement.
(g) All transition strips and floor reducers to be replaced are to match to existing material and colours.
(h) Provide 10% extra carpet tile for maintenance material.
(i) Flooring materials and related products are specified in Drawing A-1.
