B3. SITE INVESTIGATION
B3.1 Further to C3.1, the Contract Administrator or an authorized representative will be
available at the Site at 10:00 a.m. on June 28, 2022, to provide Bidders access to the Site.
Bidders are to meet at 2641 Scotia Street, at the intersection of John Black Avenue and Scotia
Street.
B3.2 Although attendance at the Site Investigation is not mandatory, the City strongly
suggests that Proponents attend.
B3.3 Proponents are required to register for the Site Investigation at least 48 hrs. prior
by contacting the Contract Administrator identified in D5.
B3.4 The Bidder is advised that the both the upstream and downstream chambers are confined
entry spaces. City forces will open up both chambers for viewing from the surface, but entry will
not be permitted.
B3.5 The Bidder is advised that the siphon crossing alignments are located on easements on
private property and Bidders are not permitted to enter private property during the bidding period.
B3.6 The Bidder shall not be entitled to rely on any information or interpretation received
at the Site investigation unless that information or interpretation is the Bidder’s direct
observation, or is provided by the Contract Administrator in writing.
B3.7 The Bidder is responsible for inspecting the Site, the nature of the Work to be done
and all conditions that might affect his/her Bid or his/her performance of the Work, and shall
assume all risk for conditions existing or arising in the course of the Work which have been or
could have been determined through such inspection.
