139-2021 - Public Works Department Security and Accessibility Upgrades-1155 Pacific Avenue

D2. SCOPE OF WORK
D2.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of security and accessibility upgrades at Public Works Department, located on 1155 Pacific Avenue.
D2.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Removal and disposal of existing front reception desk millwork, carpet, ceramic tile, wall base, angled half wall, floor pedestals and wall light sconces.
(b) Removal, salvage and re-install existing sanitizer dispensers, fire plan acrylic frames, pamphlet racks, tack boards, door stops and fire extinguishers.
(c) Supply and installation of new flooring, plywood wood blocking infills, stainless steel corner guards, clear tempered glass window unit, front reception counter protective plexiglass/frames and card access system.
(d) Construction of new custom millwork for reception desk and ADO access millwork gate in conformance with the City of Winnipeg 2015 Accessibility Design Guidelines and Standards.
(e) Supply and installation of new millwork hardware as specified herein and on Drawing A3.0.
(f) Supply and installation of new reception desk equipment as specified herein and on Drawing A2.1.
(g) Construction of new office and meeting room.
(h) Supply and installation of automatic doors operators.
(i) Painting of all drywall ceilings, bulkheads, existing walls and new walls, as indicated in Room Finish Schedule, Finish Notes and Legend on Drawing A1.3.
(j) Electrical works as specified herein and on Drawing E1, Drawing E2 and Drawing E3.
(k) Mechanical works as specified herein and on Drawings M1, Drawing M2 and Drawing M3.
(l) Noisy demolition or construction works is to occur after business hours after 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, or on the weekends so as not to disrupt the employees working adjacent to the lobby area.
(m) Existing lobby doors presently count as a required means of exiting for 1155 Pacific Avenue. This exit must be maintained as a means of exiting in case of emergency when offices are occupied. The entrance can be closed off to receiving visitors as long as exiting is maintained. Contractor is responsible to ensure that fire exiting is maintained.
(n) Final clean-up of all work areas affected by demolition and construction works.
