D3. SCOPE OF WORK

D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the installation of new water
mains on Inkster Boulevard and Powers Street within the City of Winnipeg.

D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Installation of approximately 980 meters of 300-250 mm PVC water main pipe and related
appurtenances by trenchless methods;
(b) Abandonment of existing water mains as required;
(c) Removal/abandonment of existing hydrant assemblies and gate valves as required;
(d) Installation of new valves and hydrant assemblies;
(e) Reconnection and/or renewal of water service connections;
(f) Restoration of pavement and boulevards
(g) Removal of existing valve pit.

B3. SITE INVESTIGATION

B3.1 Further to C3.1, the Bidder may view the Site without making an appointment.

B3.2 The Bidder/Proponent is responsible for inspecting the Site, the nature of the Work to
be done and all conditions that might affect their Bid/Proposal or their performance of the Work,
and shall assume all risk for conditions existing or arising in the course of the Work which have
been or could have been determined through such inspection
