D3. SCOPE OF WORK
D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
(a) Concrete Pavement Preservation
(i) Eastbound Sterling Lyon Parkway – Kenaston Boulevard to Victor Lewis Drive
(ii) Logan Avenue – Blake Street to Railway Crossing Limits (Weston Street)
(iii) Sage Creek – Lagimodiere Boulevard to Warde Avenue
(iv) Camiel Sys Street – 310m East of Mazenod Road to Plessis Road
(v) Mazenod Road – Debaets Street to Camiel Sys Street
(vi) Haggart Avenue – Meridian Drive to #195 Haggart Avenue
(vii) Meridian Drive – Discovery Place to Inksbrook Drive
(b) Diamond Grinding
(i) Eastbound Sterling Lyon Parkway – Kenaston Boulevard to Victor Lewis Drive
(ii) Logan – Blake Street to Railway Crossing Limits (Weston Street)
(c) Thick Asphalt Overlay
(i) Camiel Sys Street – Mazenod Road to 310m East
(d) Asphalt Mill and Fill
(i) Westbound Bison Drive – 75m West of Pembina Highway to Markham Road
(ii) Northbound Lagimodiere Boulevard – 145m North of Sage Creek Boulevard to Bishop Grandin Boulevard
(iii) Northbound Lagimodiere Drive – Bishop Grandin Boulevard to Fermor Avenue
(e) Asphalt Paving of Granular Shoulder Reconstruction
(i) Westbound Bison Drive – 75m West of Pembina Highway to Markham Road
(ii) Southbound Lagimodiere Boulevard – Warman Road to Dugald Road
D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Concrete Pavement Preservation and Diamond Grinding
(i) Renewal of existing concrete joints through partial and full depth repairs
(ii) Renewal of existing sidewalks, curbs, splash strips and median slabs as required
(iii) Adjustment of existing catch basins, manholes and appurtenances as required
(iv) Diamond grinding
(v) Joint sealing at all joints within diamond grinding areas (incidental to Diamond Grinding)
(vi) Crack routing and sealing as required
(vii) Joint sealing all full depth repairs (incidental to Partial Slab Patch Repairs)
(viii) Boulevard restoration as required
(b) Thick Asphalt Overlay
(i) Renewal of existing concrete joints through full depth concrete repairs
(ii) Pavement milling at Construction limit tie ins
(iii) Adjustment of existing catch basins, manholes and appurtenances as required
(iv) Renewal of existing sidewalk, curbs, splash strips and median slabs as required
(v) Placement of thick asphalt overlay (average thickness 80mm)
(vi) Reflective crack maintenance
(vii) Boulevard restoration as required
(c) Asphalt Mill and Fill
(i) Asphalt pavement milling (average thickness 50mm)
(ii) Renewal of existing concrete joints through full depth concrete repairs
(iii) Partial depth asphalt patching of existing concrete joints
(iv) Renewal of existing sidewalk, curbs, splash strips and median slabs as required
(v) Placement of asphalt overlay (average thickness 60mm)
(vi) Reflective crack maintenance
(vii) Boulevard restoration as required
(d) Asphalt Paving of Granular Shoulder Reconstruction
(i) Excavation
(ii) Placement of base course and subbase
(iii) Renewal of existing curb as required
(iv) Minor pavement repairs adjacent to roadway shoulder as required
(v) Placement of asphalt pavement
(vi) Boulevard restoration
D3.3 Shoulders and turn lanes will not be included in the work on Lagimodiere Boulevard Northbound.
D3.4 Turn lanes will not be included in the work on Bison Drive Westbound.
D3.5 Diamond Grinding on Sterling Lyon Parkway will not include turn lanes. Feathering will be required along the edges of the ground surface.
D3.6 The funds available for this contract are $2,458,575.00
