D3. SCOPE OF WORK
D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the renewal of the Clifton
Street water main (1st Bay south of Richard Avenue), the renewal of the Coralberry Avenue water
main from Arrowwood Drive S (W Leg) to Arrowwood Drive S (E Leg), the renewal of the Forest Park
Drive water main from Grandcrest Street to Forest Park Drive (E leg), the renewal of the Nolana
Street water main from Buttercup Avenue to Mid-Block south, the renewal of Ingersoll Street water
main from Notre Dame Avenue to Grundy Avenue, the renewal of Notre Dame Avenue water main from
Lipton Street to Ingersoll Street, and the renewal of the Salter Street water main from Armstrong
Avenue to Mid-Block South.
D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Installation of approximately 1,400 meters of 150mm to 350mm diameter PVC water main by
trenchless methods
(b) Abandonment or removal of existing water mains, hydrants, and gate valves;
(c) Installation of gate valves and hydrant assemblies,
(d) Feedermain crossings,
(e) Reconnection or renewal of water services connections; and
(f) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas.
