D3. SCOPE OF WORK

D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of the renewal of the Clifton
Street water main from Portage Avenue to Wolever Avenue, the renewal of the Isabel Street water
main from Ross Avenue to mid-block south of Bannatyne Avenue, the renewal of the Main Street water
main from Graham Avenue to York Avenue.

D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Installation of approximately 1,400 metres of 100mm to 350mm diameter PVC water main by
trenchless methods;
(b) Abandonment or removal of existing water mains, hydrants, and gate valves;
(c) Installation of gate valves and hydrant assemblies;
(d) Reconnection or renewal of water services connections; and
(e) Restoration of pavement and boulevard areas.

B3.1 Further to C3.1, the Bidder may view the Site without making an appointment.

B3.2 The Bidder shall not be entitled to rely on any information or interpretation received
at the Site investigation unless that information or interpretation is the Bidder’s direct
observation, or is provided by the Contract Administrator in writing.
