D3. SCOPE OF WORK
D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
(a) Concrete Pavement Preservation
(i) East Bound Sterling Lyon Boulevard – Kenaston Boulevard to Victor Lewis Drive
(ii) West Bound Stradbrook Avenue – Harkness Avenue to Queen Elizabeth Way (incl. South Bound
Queen Elizabeth Way – Stradbrook Avenue to 75 m South of Stradbrook Avenue)
(b) Asphalt Mill and Fill
(i) South Bound Roblin Avenue – 40 m West of William Clement Parkway to Grant Avenue (Existing:
Asphalt Overlay on Concrete Pavement Structure)
(ii) North Bound Roblin Avenue – Grant Avenue to 40 m West of William Clement Parkway
(Existing: Asphalt Overlay on Concrete Pavement Structure)
(c) Asphalt Overlay
(i) East Bound Wilkes Avenue – Victor Lewis Drive to Waverley Street
(ii) West Bound Wilkes Avenue – 60 m West of Waverley Street to Victor Lewis Drive
(d) Asphalt Paving of Granular Shoulder Reconstruction
(i) East Bound Bishop Grandin Boulevard – Island Shore Boulevard to Lagimodiere Boulevard
(ii) South Bound Lagimodiere Boulevard – Warman Road to 70m North of Dugald Road
(iii) West Bound Bison Drive – 75m West of Pembina Hwy to Markham Road
D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Concrete Pavement Preservation
(i) Renewal of existing concrete joints through partial depth joint repair methods;
(ii) Renewal of existing concrete slabs and joints with full depth concrete repairs;
(iii) Cross stitching (EB Sterling Lyon Parkway);
(iv) Renewal of existing sidewalk, curbs, splash strip and median slab as required;
(v) Adjustment of existing catch basins, manholes and appurtenances as required;
(vi) Diamond Grinding (EB Sterling Lyon Parkway and WB Stradbrook Avenue);
(vii) Joint sealing and crack routing and sealing at all joints and cracks within diamond
grinded surface areas (incidental to Diamond Grinding);
(viii) Joint sealing all repaired joints and crack routing and sealing as required (pay items);
and
(ix) Boulevard restoration as required.
(b) Asphalt Mill and Fill
(i) Asphalt pavement milling (average thickness 50 mm);
(ii) Renewal of existing concrete slabs and joints with full depth concrete repairs;
(iii) Renewal of existing curbs, splash strip and median slab as required;
(iv) Partial sidewalk renewals;
(v) Placement of asphalt overlay (average thickness 70 mm);
(vi) Reflective crack sealing; and
(vii) Boulevard restoration as required.
(c) Asphalt Overlay
(i) Partial depth asphalt patching of existing concrete joints;
(ii) Renewal of existing concrete slabs and joints with full depth concrete repairs;
(iii) Concrete pavement milling at construction limit tie-ins;
(iv) Adjustment of existing catch basins, manholes and appurtenances as required;
(v) Renewal of existing sidewalk, curbs, splash strip and median slab as required;
(vi) Placement of asphalt overlay (average thickness 80 mm);
(vii) Reflective crack sealing; and
(viii) Boulevard restoration as required.
(d) Asphalt Paving of Granular Shoulder Reconstruction
(i) Excavation;
(ii) Placement of base course and subbase;
(iii) Renewal of existing curb as required;
(iv) Minor pavement repairs adjacent to roadway shoulder as required;
(v) Placement of asphalt pavement; and
(vi) Boulevard restoration.
D3.3 The funds available for this Contract are $3,400,000.00.
