D3. SCOPE OF WORK
D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of two parts:
(a) Part 1 – City Funded Work;
(b) Part 2 – Manitoba Hydro Funded Work.
Part 1 – City Funded Work
D3.2
Part 1 – City Funded Work shall consist of:
(a) AC Resurface
(i) Baltimore Road from Casey Street to Hay Street
(ii) Baltimore Road from Fisher Street to Casey Street
(iii) Wildwood H Park Eastbound from South Drive to South Drive
(iv) Wildwood G Park from South Drive to Wildwood Street
(v) Warsaw Avenue from Cockburn Street North to Lilac Street
(vi) Warsaw Avenue from Hugo Street North to Cockburn Street North
(b) Rehabilitation
(i) Wildwood H Park Eastbound from South Drive to South Drive
(ii) Clare Avenue from Eccles Street to Fisher Street
(iii) Clare Avenue from Fisher Street to Casey Street
(iv) Fisher Street from Morley Avenue to Oakwood Avenue
(v) Fisher Street from Arnold Avenue to Morley Avenue
(vi) Fisher Street from Montgomery Avenue to Churchill Drive
(vii) Oakwood Avenue from Eccles Street to Darling Street
(viii) Markham Road from Chancellor Drive East to Forest Lake Drive
(c) Reconstruction
(i) De L’Eglise Avenue from St. Pierre Street to Campeau Street
(ii) Chancellor Drive from Augusta Drive to Markham Road
(iii) Chancellor Drive from Lakepointe Road to Augusta Drive
(d) AC Lane Reconstruction/Concrete Repairs on PCC
(i) Pembina Highway/Dowker Avenue/Crane Avenue/Fletcher Crescent
(e) Water and Waste - Sewer Repairs
(i) Clare Avenue
(ii) Fisher Street
iii) De L’Eglise Avenue
(iv) Chancellor Drive
(v) Wildwood H Park
(vi) Wildwood G Park
Part 2 – Manitoba Hydro Funded Work
D3.3 Part 2 – Manitoba Hydro Funded Work shall consist of:
(a) Street Lighting and Associated Work
(i) De L’Eglise Avenue
D3.4 The City currently has no approved funding in the Capital Budget for Part 2 of the
Work, but is anticipating receiving notification about funding from Manitoba Hydro by late May.
Part 2 of the Work is contingent upon Manitoba Hydro approving sufficient funding.
D3.4.1 Further to C7.1, if notice of sufficient funding is not received, the City shall
have the right to eliminate all or any portion of Part 2, and the Contract Price will be reduced
accordingly.
D3.4.2 Further to C7.5, C7.5.1, and C7.6, a reduction in the Contract Price pursuant to
D3.4.1 shall not be considered in calculating the aggregate reduction in the Contract Price for
purposes of C7.5.
D3.4.3 If all or any portion of Part 2 is eliminated pursuant to D3.4.1, the time
periods stipulated in D23 for Substantial Performance of the Work and in D24 for Total Performance
of the Work will be reduced proportionally by the Contract Administrator acting reasonably.
D3.5 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) AC Resurface and Related Works (Baltimore Road, Wildwood Park, Warsaw Avenue)
(i) Complete required sewer repairs
(ii) Installation of new catchpits/catchbasins and sewer service/drainage connection pipe
(iii) Renewal of miscellaneous pavement slabs (150 mm reinforced concrete pavement)
(iv) Renewal of existing curb as required
(v) Renewal of existing sidewalks c/w detectable warning tiles if required
(vi) Adjustment of catchbasins and manholes
(vii) Planing of existing asphalt pavement
(viii) Installation of pavement repair fabric at various locations
(ix) Placement of asphalt overlay
(x) Adjustment of paving stones
(xi) Boulevard restoration
(b) Rehabilitation and Related Works (Wildwood Park, Clare Avenue, Fisher Street, Oakwood Avenue,
Markham Road)
(i) Complete required sewer repairs
(ii) Installation of new catchpits/catchbasins and sewer service/drainage connection pipe
(iii) Renewal of miscellaneous pavement slabs (150 mm reinforced concrete pavement)
(iv) Renewal of existing curb
(v) Construction of 180 mm modified barrier curb and gutter (Markham Road)
(vi) Renewal of existing sidewalks c/w detectable warning tiles if required
(vii) Adjustment of catchbasins and manholes
(viii) Planing of existing asphalt pavement
(ix) Installation of pavement repair fabric at various locations
(x) Placement of asphalt overlay
(xi) Adjustment of paving stones

(ii) Removal of existing catch basins and abandonment of existing leads
(iii) Installation of catch basins and sewer service pipe
(iv) Removal of existing asphalt and concrete pavement
(v) Excavation
(vi) Installation of subdrains
(vii) Compaction of existing subgrade
(viii) Placement of separation/filtration geotextile fabric and geogrid
(ix) Placement of sub-base (50mm Granular B Recycled Concrete) and base course materials
(x) Construction of asphalt pavement (50mm Type 1A and 75mm Type 3)
(xi) Construction of 150 mm reinforced concrete pavement
(xii) Relocation of Manitoba Hydro streetlighting and related Work (De L’Eglise Avenue)
(xiii) Construction of 150 mm barrier curb and gutter (De L’Eglise Avenue)
(xiv) Construction of 180 mm modified barrier curb and gutter (Chancellor Drive)
(xv) Renewal of concrete sidewalk c/w detectable warning tiles if required
(xvi) Adjustment of existing manholes and water valves
(xvii) Placement of Type IA asphalt for tie-ins
(xviii) Boulevard grading
(xix) Sodding
(d) AC Lane Reconstruction and Related Works (Pembina Highway/Dowker Avenue/Crane Avenue/Fletcher
Crescent)
(i) Complete required sewer repairs and required televising
(ii) Installation of new catchbasins and 300mm PVC LDS connection to existing 375 conc LDS on
Fletcher Crescent
(iii) Renewal of miscellaneous pavement slabs on PCC section (150 mm reinforced concrete
pavement)
(iv) Adjustment of catchbasins and manholes
(v) Planing of existing asphalt pavement
(vi) Installation of pavement repair fabric at various locations
(vii) Placement of asphalt overlay (50mm Type 1A and 75mm Type 3)
(viii) Adjustment of paving stones
(ix) Boulevard restoration
