D3.          SCOPE OF WORK

D3.1        The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
(a)   Active Transportation Pathway Renewals
(i)     Grant Avenue Pathway from Chalfont Road to Assiniboine Forest Path
(ii)     Niakwa Trail Pathway from Westmount Drive to Lagimodiere Boulevard
(iii)     RHG Bonnycastle School Pathway from Syracuse Crescent to Chancellor Drive
(iv)     Van Belleghem Park from Edgewater Drive to Clearwater Road and Lake Park Drive
(b)   New Active Transportation Pathway
(i)     Reenders Drive from Panet Road to Stapon Road

D3.2        The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a)   Active Transportation Pathway Renewals
(i)     Removal of existing sidewalk as required;
(ii)     Removal of existing curb as required;
(iii)     Removal of existing asphalt pavement as required;
(iv)     Removal of existing culverts;
(v)     Installation of new corrugated steel pipe culverts;
(vi)     Excavation;
(vii)     Compaction of existing sub-grade;
(viii)     Adjustment of existing pavement and boulevard structures;
(ix)     Placement of geotextile fabric;
(x)     Placement of sub-base material;
(xi)     Placement of geogrid;
(xii)     Placement of base course material;
(xiii)     Renewal of existing curb as required;
(xiv)     Renewal of existing splash strip as required;
(xv)     Renewal of existing sidewalk as required;
(xvi)     Renewal of existing curb ramp;
(xvii)     Construction of new barrier curb;
(xviii)     Construction of new sidewalk;
(xix)     Construction of new curb ramp;
(xx)     Installation of detectable warning surface tiles;
(xxi)     Ditching as required;
(xxii)     Boulevard restoration;
(xxiii)     Placement of scratch asphalt pavement (Type 1A, 40mm thickness);
(xxiv)     Installation of pavement repair fabric;
(xxv)     Placement of final lift asphalt pavement (Type 1A, 40mm thickness);
(xxvi)     Installation of benches;
(xxvii)     Installation of bollards;
(xxviii)     Topsoil and sod.
(b)   New Active Transportation Pathway
(i)     Removal of existing sidewalk as required;
(ii)     Removal of existing curb as required;
(iii)     Removal of existing bullnose as required;
(iv)     Tree removal;
(v)     Relocation of existing hydrant;
(vi)     Excavation;
(vii)     Compaction of existing sub-grade;
(viii)     Adjustment of existing pavement and boulevard structures;
(ix)     Placement of geotextile fabric;
(x)     Placement of sub-base material;
(xi)     Placement of geogrid;
(xii)     Placement of base course material;
(xiii)     Renewal of existing curb as required;
