24-2021 - 2021 Downtown Sidewalk Renewals and Associated Works

D3.1 The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of:
(a) Downtown Sidewalk Renewals and Associated Works
(i) Ellice Avenue (Both Sides) – Donald Street to Garry Street
(ii) St. Mary Avenue (North Side) – Carlton Street to Hargrave Street
(iii) St. Mary Avenue (Both Sides) – Hargrave Street to Smith Street
(iv) St. Mary Avenue (South Side) – Smith Street to Garry Street
(v) St. Mary Avenue (Both Sides) – Garry Street to Main Street

D3.2 The major components of the Work are as follows:
(a) Ellice Avenue from Donald Street to Garry Street
(i) Planing of existing asphalt overlay where required
(ii) Monolithic curb and sidewalk removal
(iii) Interlocking paving stone and lean mix concrete removal
(iv) Private access removal
(v) Supplying and placing base course
(vi) Full depth concrete slab and joint repairs
(vii) Remove and replace curb inlet frame and box
(viii) Renewal of tree well curbing with new grates
(ix) Adjust MH/Catch Basin frames
(x) Adjust water valves
(xi) Adjust curb stops
(xii) Install 100mm monolithic curb and sidewalk with block-outs for paving stones
(xiii) Install paving stone indicator surfaces
(xiv) Construction of asphalt patches
(xv) Regrading of existing interlocking paving stone
(xvi) Placement of type 1A asphalt overlay (average thickness 50mm)
(b) St. Mary Avenue from Carlton Street to Main Street
(i) Monolithic curb and sidewalk removal
(ii) Interlocking paving stone and lean mix concrete removal
(iii) Supplying and placing base course
(iv) Adjust MH/Catch Basin frames
(v) Adjust water valves
(vi) Adjust curb stops
