Morenet Towers: Request for Pricing by 25th March 2019
The City of Morden operates an internet service providing internet to the City’s residents and businesses. The City is completing full coverage of the City primarily by wireless means and requires the provision of CSA approved, self-supporting towers of various heights.
The City requests pricing schedules for towers to meet the following specifications:
• Tower heights of 120’, 100’, 80’, and 60’;
• Expected total of 6 towers;
• Towers to be engineered and for the loads approximately as discussed below; contact for more information on loading;
• Towers to conform to the relevant CSA standards for the manufacturing and design of towers;
• Towers to be delivered by 1 May 2019 to Morden, MB.
• The location of installation for all towers is Morden, MB, Canada.
• Prices to be provided in Canadian Dollars;
• Provide pricing for tower appurtenances, including soil foundation materials, LED lighting kits, anti-climb panels, grounding, cable safety system (and specifications), engineering.
• Foundation design and installation of towers by others.
The City will select a supplier based on price, tower specification, and availability.
The towers will be used primarily for readily available radio equipment, providing network connectivity between customers and Morenet’s network. The expected total load of all radios is a maximum of 35 square feet disbursed in the top 30% of the tower and pointed in various directions. Tower load will vary over time as we add and replace equipment with equal or different types of radios. Due to Morenet’s proprietary nature we can provide exact equipment specifications directly with suppliers.
