INVITATION TO BID

EMERGENCY LIGHTING UPGRADE
Bidders may obtain the drawings, specifications and bid documents from www.merx.com or from Manitoba Finance, 2nd Floor, 400 Ellice Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba, R3B 3M3. To obtain a hard copy of the bidding documents, e-mail ASDContractServices@gov.mb.ca and include company name, address (mailing and street as applicable) 10 digit phone and fax numbers and designate long distance if it applies.
Each bid must be accompanied with a fully executed original Bid Bond in the amount of 10% of the Bid Price. No substitute for the original Bid Bond will be accepted.
A mandatory site visit is scheduled for 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at the Brandon Highways, 1525 – 1st Street North, Brandon, Manitoba. Interested bidders are to meet in the Lobby of the Main Building. Bidders are required to come with Personal Protective Equipment, including safety boots and high visibility vest. Bids will not be accepted from bidders that have not attended the mandatory site visit.
Bidders will submit a letter of compliance or exemption from Apprenticeship Manitoba and completed Contractor’s Certification Form – Legislative and Safety Requirements with the bid submission or within Five (5) business days of the close of bidding. Failure to submit the required documentation within Five (5) business days may cause the tender to be rejected.
Only firm bids will be considered.
The receipt or opening of any Bid is not acceptance; acceptance of any Bid may only be made in writing by the Department; and there is no obligation by the Department to accept the lowest or any Bid.
