Ramp and Transfer Bridge Repairs

Marine Atlantic Inc. (MAI) invites offers from qualified Vendors for the Ramp and Transfer Bridge Repairs in Port aux Basques, NL.

The project is located at the Marine Atlantic Ferry Terminal site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The Work generally includes, but it is not necessarily limited to, the repairs for the Gulf Span Dock Ramp and Transfer Bridge between Piers #1 and #4.

More particularly the work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the following:

Mobilization and demobilization, including all labor and equipment as specified and as required to carry out the work.

Clean, sandblast and re-coat all steel members and connections in between Piers #2-4, as shown on drawings.

Supply and install 100 bolts required to be replaced for steel connections between Piers #2-4, as shown on drawings. Locations to be determined by Owner or Owner’s Representative on site.

Supply and install 24 angle tabs and re-weld to grating and bolt to existing steel framing between Piers #1-3, as show on drawings. Locations to be determined by Owner or Owner’s Representative on site.

Repair all spalling, cracking and delamination for all concrete walls, diaphragms, and decks between Piers #2-4; as shown on drawings.

Submittals:
- Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Construction Schedule.
- Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Safety Plan.
- Preparation, submission and implementation of an approved Traffic Control and Pedestrian Plan.
- Preparation, submission, and implementation of an approved Site-Specific Environmental Protection Plan.

Marine Atlantic reserves the right to accept tenders in whole or in part. The lowest or any tender will not necessarily be accepted.

A site visit will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 1:30 PM Atlantic, (2:00 PM Newfoundland) Time at the site in Port aux Basques, Newfoundland.

The closing for receipt of tenders will be 1400 hours Atlantic Time, November 15, 2022.

Proposals must be submitted by electronic means using the MERX EBS.

This will be the only method of response accepted for consideration. Proposals will not be considered if submitted by fax, email or other open forms of communication. Proposals must be received by the closing date and hour. Late Proposals will not be considered.

Réparation des ponts de transfert et des rampes

Marine Atlantique S.C.C. (MAI) invite des fournisseurs qualifiés à soumettre des offres pour la réparation du pont de transfert et de la rampe situés à Port aux Basques (T.-N.-L.).

Le projet est situé au terminal de traversiers de Marine Atlantique à Port aux Basques, à Terre-Neuve.

De manière générale, les travaux comprennent, sans toutefois s’y limiter, la réparation de la rampe de travée et du pont de transfert du golfe entre les piliers nos 1 et 4.

Plus précisément, les travaux comprennent principalement, sans toutefois s’y limiter, ce qui suit :

Mobilisation et démobilisation, y compris la main-d’œuvre et l’équipement, tel qu’il est précisé et selon les besoins, pour effectuer les travaux.

Nettoyer, sabler et recouvrir toutes les membrures et jointures en acier, entre les piliers nos 2 et 4, tel qu’indiqué sur les dessins.

Fournir et installer 100 boulons devant être remplacés pour les jointures en acier, entre les piliers nos 2 à 4, tel qu’indiqué sur les dessins. Emplacement à déterminer par le propriétaire ou le représentant du propriétaire sur place.

Fournir et installer 24 pattes angulaires et souder à nouveau au caillebotis, sceller à la charpente métallique existante entre les piliers nos 1 à 3 , tel qu’indiqué sur les dessins. Emplacement à déterminer par le propriétaire ou le représentant du propriétaire sur place.

Réparer tout écaillage, toute fissure et délamination pour tous les murs, diaphragmes et ponts en béton, entre les piliers nos 2 à 4, tel qu’indiqué sur les dessins.

Documents à présenter :
- Préparation, présentation et mise en œuvre d’un calendrier de construction approuvé.
- Préparation, présentation et mise en œuvre d’un plan approuvé de sécurité propre au site.
- Préparation, présentation et mise en œuvre d’un plan approuvé de régulation de la circulation des véhicules et des piétons.
- Préparation, présentation et mise en œuvre d’un plan approuvé de protection de l’environnement propre au site.

Marine Atlantique se réserve le droit d’accepter des soumissions dans leur totalité ou en partie. La soumission au plus faible coût ou n’importe laquelle des soumissions ne sera pas nécessairement acceptée.

Une visite du site aura lieu le jeudi 3 novembre 2022, à 13 h 30 (heure de l’Atlantique) (14 h, heure de Terre-Neuve), au site de Port aux Basques (Terre-Neuve).

La date de clôture pour la réception des soumissions est le 15 novembre 2022, à 14 h (heure de l’Atlantique).

Les propositions doivent être déposées par voie électronique sur MERX EBS.

Seules les soumissions envoyées conformément à la méthode précitée seront prises en compte. Les propositions ne seront pas prises en compte si elles sont envoyées par télécopieur, par courriel ou par d’autres moyens de communication ouverts. Les propositions doivent être reçues avant la date et l’heure de clôture. Les propositions tardives ne seront pas examinées.
