Innovapost Inc. (Innovapost), on behalf of Canada Post Group of Companies (Canada Post), is seeking industry expertise in the area of 3rd Party Data about individuals for fraud prevention.
Canada Post plans to integrate with a 3rd Party Data service provider to improve fraud prevention. No matter how good an authentication framework is, we could still have fraudulent transactions, therefore we need an omnichannel and cross-product approach.
The need is to integrate with 3rd Party Data service provider to better identify good customers and find outlying details supplied on transactions. Many of these data providers have databases of names, addresses, phone numbers and other contact details. The intention is for the 3rd Party Data service provider to confirm whether personal details supplied by Canada Post match the details their database (e.g. phone number to name match, phone number to address match, etc.).
This allows for faster identification of a valid customer transaction. As well, it allows for the identification of a transaction that may be using never-seen-before contact details for an individual so that the transactions can be flagged for internal security review.
