19-261 - Vendor of Record for Security Consultant Services

The purpose of this RFP is to retain qualified security consultants (“Qualified Vendor”) to provide engineering design solutions for integrated security systems, acting as the Prime Consultant. The Prime Consultant’s team will be retained to provide professional services including but not limited to preparation of design and oversight of systems that include door control, intrusion detection monitoring, duress alarm monitoring, CCTV and video recording. These services may also include specification of security hardware in offices, detention and institutional facilities and special purpose buildings.
IO invites individual firms or consortiums of firms to submit Proposals for the above referenced RFP in accordance with the terms and conditions of this RFP document.

It is expected the Qualified Vendor will be able to deliver the below services, either utilizing in-house resources and/or accessing partner firms with the required disciplines and expertise:

• Engineering design services (design, specification) for various systems such as: integrated CCTV systems, integrated door controls systems, etc.
• Provide tender ready design packages, including creating specifications, design documents
• Coordination of security designs with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical and electrical engineering.
• Provide contract administration services
• Provide a full site report upon completion that is accurate and reflects the system installed; review of the site and existing systems
• Provide commissioning services of the security systems, including carrying the liability on sign off and ensuring that the appropriate commissioning documents are completed
• Advise the client regarding expansion capability of existing system and compatibility with new devices on the market.
