Bid Call No.16-489 - Macdonald Block Complex - Swing Stage, Hoarding and Fencing

This Invitation to Bid is issued by Ontario Infrastructure and Lands Corporation
(“Infrastructure Ontario” or “IO”) to solicit and receive Bids from qualified General
Contractors.
The site:
The Macdonald Block Complex consists of four stone clad towers of varying heights that
stand on a two story podium at the corner of Bay Street and Wellesley Street in Toronto.
The complex is approximately 45 years old, is owned by the Ontario Government and is
a Provincial Heritage Property of Provincial Significance.
The work:
Provide swing stage access for building envelope engineering due diligence (hammer
sounding) at 40 ‘drop’ locations around the perimeter of four towers, installation and
erection of hoarding and fencing at the building perimeters and minor electrical work for
temporary CCTV cameras. This work is referred to as the “Project”. Bids must be
submitted in accordance with the requirements detailed in the Bid Call Documents. A
