This RFQ is issued by Infrastructure Ontario on behalf of The Ministry of Infrastructure. The purpose of this RFQ is to prequalify general contractors for leasehold improvements for the Queen’s Park Reconstruction Project – Early Decant to 315 Front Street West in Toronto, Ontario (the “Project”).
This Project will provide temporary office accommodations for the early decant ministries relocated from MacDonald Block Queen’s Park. The leasehold improvements will encompass approximately 145,000 sq ft (13,500 sq m.) over 7 floors. The work will provide primarily an open work space environment and closed office and support spaces.

The Project involves architectural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical power improvements, and coordination of furniture installation and other associated activities.

Full details are provided in the RFQ document, which is available only through MERX at www.merx.com or 1-800-964-6379, reference number RFP 17-157. Only Electronic Submissions received from Applicants who obtained documents directly from MERX will be considered for this RFQ.

Applicants shall submit their Prequalification Submissions to the Infrastructure Ontario electronically through MERX in accordance with the instructions set out in the RFQ Data Sheet. Infrastructure Ontario will not accept Submissions delivered by electronic mail or facsimile.

HEALTH AND SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
As of April 1, 2017, contractors must have initiated the registration process for COR to be eligible to submit prequalification submissions for prequalifications for construction tender projects in excess of $10M in estimated contract value issued by Infrastructure Ontario, pursuant to Infrastructure Ontario’s Real Estate Direct Delivery program. The deadline for becoming COR-certified will be April 1, 2018.
Up to April 1, 2018, contractors have to provide proof of enrollment in the COR Certification Program.

Applicants shall provide proof of:

Certificate of Recognition Certification (a valid COR Certification and Letter of Good Standing); or
enrolment in the COR Certification Program: a copy of an executed “COR Application Form”, an executed IHSA “Training Registration Form”, or a letter from IHSA confirming enrollment in the COR Program, will be accepted as proof of enrollment in the COR Program.
