001/22-23 - RFP for e-learning resources in support of work integrated learning (DT)

The Information and Communications Technology Council (ICTC) is looking to procure professional services to develop innovative e-learning content and resources to expand its catalogue of courses for post secondary education students participating in a work-integrated learning placement. The learning resources must be made available to students in the Summer 2023 cohort at the latest. Digital transformation of the Canadian economy has been a story of two periods, before the COVID-19 pandemic and after the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic. Before the pandemic, Canadian businesses were slower to adopt digital technologies than their global counterparts: with 98% of Canada’s businesses being small, they traditionally did not prioritize digital technologies nor were they able to compete for digital talent necessary to transform digitally. With the shutdowns and health measures brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses had to embrace e-commerce, employees’ working from home, and virtual service delivery – accelerating the digital transformation of the Canadian economy.
