The Industry Training Authority (ITA) has primary responsibility for managing and developing BC’s industry training system. It works in partnership with stakeholders to create programs that give people the skills and experience they need to become certified tradespersons. Each industry training program, whether a foundation program or an apprenticeship program, is defined by a program standard and follows a prescribed curriculum that includes certification standards set by industry. As part of the training and certification process, final examinations (which include BC Certificate of Qualification Examinations and Red Seal Examinations) are written throughout the industry training system.
Exam invigilators are needed to invigilate BC Certificate of Qualification Examinations and Red Seal Examinations at various locations around the Province.
ITA has established an accreditation process for individuals who want to become ITA exam invigilators. This process is detailed in ITA Operations Policy PP1011 and can be made available to interested parties, upon request. At this time, ITA is looking into consolidating the multiple individual contracts under one single agreement with an organization able to successfully manage all invigilation services.
Industry Training Authority (ITA) is located in Richmond, British Columbia at 8100 Granville Avenue, Unit 800, V6Y 3T6.
