RFP-154 - Audit Services for ARBPRIA

In 2005 the Ontario Power Authority (now the IESO) and Bruce Power executed the Bruce Power Refurbishment Implementation Agreement (“BPRIA”). Under the BPRIA, Bruce Power (“BP”) completed the refurbishment of Bruce A Units 1&2 in 2012, so that all eight units at the Bruce Site were in operation for the first time in more than 15 years.
 
Following the issuance of the Long Term Energy Plan (“LTEP”) by the Ministry of Energy in December 2013, the IESO engaged in commercial negotiations to amend the existing BPRIA to enable the refurbishment of the 6 remaining units at the Bruce site and support the operations of the site into the 2060s. The ARBPRIA was executed on December 3, 2015 and became effective on January 1, 2016.

As part of the IESOs management and administration of the ARBPRIA, the IESO will perform due diligence on an on-going basis and will verify, audit and inspect future Refurbishments and Asset Management work.
