2023-34-P - Workplace Injuries Reporting and Claiming Study

The purpose of this RFP is to acquire the services of a consultant(s) to conduct a comprehensive study of workers and employers regarding injury reporting and claim practices, and the circumstances that facilitate or inhibit tendencies to report claims. There should be sufficient detail to enable WorkplaceNL to conduct an initial evaluation of claim reporting, or the suppression of claims, in the workforce. This project should result in gathering data from both workers and employers to analyze and formulate estimates on injury reporting and claim suppression. The consultant(s) will be responsible for assisting with the design of surveys (Phase 1), and analyzing and presenting reports on the results (Phase 3). WorkplaceNL will work with the Newfoundland and Labrador Statistics Agency to administer and conduct the worker and employer surveys (Phase 2). As such, the Consultant(s) should not include any costs in the bid related to conducting and administering surveys.

The term of the agreement will be for a period of 12 months from date of award. The Prevention Services Department at WorkplaceNL will work with the selected vendor during the contract period.
