Description

EHRC is seeking a web development firm that:

Has bilingual capacity, or at least bilingual experience
Is Canadian, based in Ottawa or elsewhere
Has experience with clients whose work is similar to EHRC’s
Has aligned values and a commitment to diversity

The website to be developed:

Built on WordPress
Approximately 10 page templates
Using WooCommerce for e-commerce
Using several common plugins
Bilingual using WPML
Using as much standard WordPress functionality as possible and avoid bespoke plugins or applications
Integrated (very lightly) with other online platforms using HTML code snippets
Including Google Tag Manager
Provided in a staging environment for testing and QA

The website migration process:

EHRC will be responsible for the content
Either EHRC or the vendor will upload the content, depending on cost and capacity
Some content (posts and WooCommerce products) will be migrated by the vendor
The vendor is responsible for redirects and ensuring smooth migration with regards to search engines
Considered complete after launching with two weeks of no vendor-caused bugs
