EHRC-RFP 017 - Physical Demand Analyses Development

As part of a 3-year, federally-funded initiative, Electricity Human Resources Canada has been working with industry experts to define the skills and knowledge (i.e., competencies) required to work in the electricity sector. In additional to the competencies required, we also recognize the importance of identifying the physical and psychological requirements associated with key occupations within the sector.

EHRC is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to develop Physical Demands Analyses for (up to) 15 occupations within the electricity sector. While we are on the road to recovery (and return to open), we are seeking ‘per PDA’ quotations from vendors, noting that that the maximum number of 15 PDAs will be conducted, but the minimum number will be dictated by public health guidelines.

The PDAs developed for this project will be national in scope; meaning that they should provide benchmark data that can be used by our stakeholders across the country. That is, a utility in Nova Scotia should be able to use the EHRC PDA in the same way that a utility in British Columbia would.
