DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION CANADA (DCC) – ES112423 – Building Demolition Winchelsea Island, CFB Esquimalt, BC.
The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the supply of labour, material, supervision and equipment necessary for demolition works on Winchelsea Island, CFB Esquimalt, BC.
Tenderers are advised that this opportunity has been set-aside under the Federal Government Set-Aside for Indigenous Business, in accordance with the Procurement Strategy for Indigenous Business (PSIB). The Tenderer must certify in its tender (using Form A – Certification of Requirements for the Set-Aside Program for Indigenous Business) that it is an Indigenous Business or eligible joint venture, as defined in this competition and in the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat Contracting Policy Notices on Indigenous Business Procurement. The estimated cost for this opportunity is in the order of $2,372,000.00.
Tenderers wishing to attend the site visit MUST pre-register at least 24 hours in advance by emailing the proposed attendee’s name to the MERX listed contact. Failure to pre-register may result in being denied access to the site visit. Attendees shall hold government issued photo identification.
Due to COVID-19 and potential health risks contractors are asked to ensure safe practices are followed during the site visit (e.g. facemasks are worn at all times, social distancing is observed, etc.). Refer to www.gov.bc.ca/covid19 for further information. PPE will NOT be provided by DCC/DND.
Tenderers are advised that bid security is required for this opportunity. Refer to the Instructions to Tenderers for Electronic Bidding - Form DCL193E, paragraph 5.
The work must reach Substantial Completion no later than 175 calendar days after notification of contract award and must be completed no later than 30 calendar days after the date of Substantial Completion.
The selected contractor will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC). Details concerning the Security Requirements for this project are identified in the Tender Documents.
