DEFENCE CONSTRUCTION CANADA (DCC) – WR008990_SC81632 – Rail Line Inspection & Repairs Services, 3CDSB Wainwright, Alberta.
The work includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the supply of labour, material, supervision, and equipment necessary to provide rail line inspections where the contractor is responsible for access such as snow removal in the winter months; this includes three (3) inspections per year, for a three-year period.
As per Acknowledgement Document, Item 7 – Bidders are advised that it is understood and agreed that in the event of their Tender being accepted within 30 (thirty) calendar days of the date and time stated for closing of tenders and their failing or refusing to carry out the contract in accordance with the terms of their Tender, their bid security, if required by the tender, (i) if in the form of a wire transfer, shall be forfeited to His Majesty the King in Right of Canada, or (ii) if in the form of a Bid Bond, the Bonding Company shall be liable in accordance with the Bond.
A site visit has been arranged for the following date, time, and location. It is highly recommended that bidders attend this visit.

The estimated cost for the three-year period, including Prime Cost Allowance is in the range of $68,000.00.
The contract will be in place for a period of three (3) years from the date of notification of contract award. The Annual Amount submitted through the Electronic Bidding System shall remain firm for a period of two years. The Annual Amount will be adjusted in accordance with the percentage change in the Statistics Canada Consumer Price Index (CPI), all-items excluding eight of the most volatile components as defined by the Bank of Canada and excluding the effect of changes in indirect taxes. The Annual Amount will be adjusted at the two-year anniversary of the notification of contract award by calculating the percentage change in the CPI between the month in which the contract was awarded and the month of the two-year anniversary.
Bid Security, Contract Security, and Holdback ARE NOT required.
