The Estimate for this opportunity is $2,473,600.00 for 2 years of Service; Extension opportunities exist, where this contract could be valued at an estimated $3,780,000.00 should the contract be extended.
As per Acknowledgement Document, Item 7 – Bidders are advised that it is understood and agreed that in the event of their Tender being accepted within 30 (thirty) calendar days of the date and time stated for closing of tenders and their failing or refusing to carry out the contract in accordance with the terms of their Tender, their bid security, if required by the tender, (i) if in the form of a wire transfer, shall be forfeited to His Majesty the King in Right of Canada, or (ii) if in the form of a Bid Bond, the Bonding Company shall be liable in accordance with the Bond.
The Contract will be in place from the date of Award to December 31, 2025. Following Contract award, the Contractor will be required to progressively mobilize and be ready to commence providing Garbage Pick-up and Disposal Services on January 1, 2024, referred to as the Service Commencement date.
The Contractor will provide Garbage Pick-up and Disposal Services for a two-year period starting from the Service Commencement date (January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025).
If mutually agreeable between the Contractor and DCC, the contract may be extended for up to one (1) additional one (1) year period with the same Terms and Conditions and applicable cost escalation.
This procurement is being conducted in accordance with the requirements set out in Chapter Five of the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA), Chapter Ten of the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Chapter Nineteen of the Canada-European Union Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (GPA).
The selected contractor will be required to hold a valid Designated Organizational Screening (DOS), issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD) within Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC). Details concerning the Security Requirements for this project are identified in the Tender Documents.
