Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested contractors an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed.
Description of the Project
This project will procure the services of a general contractor in order to build a new ammunition workshop for DRDC Valcartier to be built in the Valcartier Garrison Ammunition sector. The new facilities are approximately 953 m2 and will include office space, warehouses and workshops, modification of utilities, site landscaping, and parking lots in the Quebec City Region.
Description of the Services
The work under this contract includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the supply of labor, material, supervision and equipment necessary for the construction of a new building and the modification of utilities, site landscaping, and parking.
The estimated value for this project is approximately $11,000,000.00.
It is anticipated that this procurement will be initiated in the Summer 2020. This is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed by the DND.
Security Requirements
Contractors will be required to hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Sub-contractors will be required to hold a valid Designated Organization Screening (DOS), issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).
Process
Contractors that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a bid for this procurement that fall under this project can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Contractors are asked to submit their request prior to February 26, 2020 quoting the following information:
- Contract number HQ0857A1; and
- Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
