Purpose of this Advance Procurement Notice
This is not a bid solicitation. This is an advance notice of a potential project with anticipated security requirements to provide interested consultants an opportunity to apply for security clearances. Note that there is no guarantee that this project will proceed.
Description of the Project
This project aims to recapitalize the water and sewer systems in the southern sector of the Valcartier research center, which are now at the end of their useful life. The objective is to meet federal and provincial requirements for fire protection, drinking water and sanitary sewer.
Description of the Services
Consultant services will include, without being limited to, the design and delivery of plans and specifications with the possibility of additional services, such as tendering services, construction services, geotechnical and topographic studies.
The value of this project is estimated at $800,000.00
It is expected that the procurement will be in place in spring 2020. This date is conditional on the project receiving approval to proceed from DND.
Security Requirements
Consultants will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP) of the Industrial Security Sector (ISS), Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC).
Sub-consultants will be required to hold a valid DESIGNATED ORGANIZATION SCREENING (DOS), issued by the Contract Security Program (CSP) of the Industrial Security Sector (ISS), Public Works and Government Services (PWGSC).
Process
Consultants that do not meet the stipulated security requirements and that are interested in submitting a proposal/bid for this procurement can apply for the security clearance through the Industrial Security Program (ISP). This can be done by following the procedure on DCC’s website at the following link: http://www.dcc-cdc.gc.ca/english/contractors_consultants.html. Consultants are asked to submit their request prior to January 7, 2020 quoting the following information:
- Contract number VR000856 and
- Level of clearance requested to be sponsored for.
