The International Peace Garden (“IPG” or the “Owner”) is considered a “living museum”
compromised of nearly 2,400 acres of formal gardens, wetlands, lakes, and forests, with
approximately 200 buildings on the grounds. IPG is planning to renovate and expand various
existing buildings and construct new facilities.
The objectives in undertaking this work are to make the IPG a more sustainable operation, enhance
the visitor experience, and better attract future private donors to share in the funding provided by
the public sector. To accomplish this, the program of work includes over 20 unique projects, some
of which include, but are not limited to:
rebuild and expansion of the Conservatory,
addition of one or more children’s play areas,
rebuilds of staff and visitor lodging,
infrastructure upgrades,
enhancements to rental facilities,
renovations to the International Music Camp campus, and
construction of a staff headquarters.
The Owner requires a Prime Design Consultant (PDC) to complete a variety of services ranging
from building condition assessments, options analysis to overseeing all aspects of developing
drawings suitable for permitting, construction, contract administration and project close-out for the
projects listed in this RFP. The Owner has retained Colliers Project Leaders (“Colliers” or the
“Project Manager”) to provide project management services for the Project on behalf of the Owner.
