MNRF Policy Division Realignment
300 Water Street, Peterborough, ON
Scope of Work
The project is located at Robinson Place, 300 Water Street in Peterborough, Ontario. This government-owned office building has numerous Ministries located in it and has 6 floors in one tower and 5 floors in another joined by a central link. The Ministry of Natural Resources has six (6) main MNRF branches and nineteen (19) sub-branches. A large restructuring and restacking project was recently completed in 2018 in order to amalgamate several of the branches into a more efficient layout. A space analysis was also recently completed in 2016 to determine the optimal layout and restacking while utilizing the current IO Workplace Environment Guidelines (WEG) Standards. The general scope of work for this project is the continuation of the previous effort to “right size” and restack the Ministry of Natural Resources within the building. The project restacking consists of relocation of staff, major construction and right-sizing renovations in order to accommodate all programs in accordance with MEDEI space standards, incorporating filing solutions and applying upgrades to cabling, furniture, fixtures and finishes. This project consists of, but is not limited to, the major renovations to part of the 3rd floor North and South towers as well as build out swing space on 4th floor North tower.
