It is anticipated that construction will commence in May 2024 and will be completed no later than May 2025. The General Contractor for the project will be subject to a CCDC2 2020 Contract as amended by OILC’s Supplementary Conditions, the most recent version of which is set out in Appendix C. By responding to this RFPQ Proponents acknowledge and accept these conditions. Please note that from time to time OILC amends the Supplementary Conditions. The current version of the Supplementary Conditions will be included in the tender documents. Only pre-qualified Proponents will be permitted to submit bids for the project.
The project scope includes:
Addition to the front of the courthouse to accommodate Single Point of Entry including access controls for entry, baggage scanner, magnetometer, and accessible entrance
Secure Judicial Parking at the back of the courthouse within the parking area including surveillance cameras, electronic gate for entrance/exit and man door for entry into the parking. Police Monitoring Station at public entrance including related security equipment. Modifications to Jury Counter to accommodate police monitoring room, modifications including secure service counter and new furniture. Modifications to Sally Port area to accommodate walkways from back of the courthouse to the new Single Point of Entry entrance. Addition of accessible parking spaces on the laneway at the front of the courthouse. Exterior work including walkways from the back parking area to the front of the courthouse and landscaping Installation new security equipment and furniture for all of the monitoring stations such as chairs and height adjustable tables. The general contractors will be required to engage an IO approved security integrator. The eligible security integrates will be listed in the tender documents, issued to the prequalified proponents.
