Description

The College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) regulates nursing practice in the public interest. This includes ensuring that applicants seeking nursing registration in Ontario have successfully completed an approved nursing education program. Approving nursing education programs is a key part of the CNO’s mandate to protect the public. CNO is developing a new standardized program approval framework and approach for all nursing education programs that is objective, transparent, sustainable and regulatory-focused, and supports Council’s approval authority. This RFP sets out CNO’s interest in securing a multi-year agreement with a vendor to implement and administer the program approval assessment services for all applicable existing and new nursing education programs in Ontario. Currently there are 39 schools (15 Universities and 24 Colleges) offering approximately 90 nursing education programs in Ontario that must meet CNO program approval requirements
