CNL would like to explore the ability to perform out of band scanning of removable media devices (USB A, USB C, SD, CF and MicroSD cards) and the content stored within for potential threat prior to connecting the devices to CNL computer systems. CNL is seeking technical information on systems and technologies that would enable CNL to perform threat scanning on removable media devices prior to that device being used to transfer data between non-connected network zones. These technologies should be able to have a mechanism to stay updated with latest threat definitions, whether via a restricted internet connection or an offline/manual update method. The expectation is the solution would exist in a standalone, potentially air gapped setup.
