Requirement
The City of Ottawa, hereinafter referred to as the City, is seeking qualification submissions to provide professional engineering services to undertake Design, Contract Administration and Inspection services for the 2021 miscellaneous draining improvement as described in the Terms of Reference, attached hereto as Annex “A”.
Submission of Response
All submissions in response to this solicitation shall be submitted electronically through the City’s e-Procurement system provided by MERX. Respondents are advised to contact MERX directly for electronic response submission assistance. No submission submitted in hard copy, through fax or email will be accepted or considered.
Submissions shall be received
NO LATER THAN 3:00 P.M. LOCAL TIME ON Tuesday, September 13th, 2022. Submissions received after the above due date and time will not be considered.
Inquiries and Addenda
All inquiries and questions regarding this RFQ must be submitted online through
www.merx.com, no later than the date outlined in Article 1.12 – Proposed Schedule of Events. The Administrative Authority will provide answers to inquiries to all respondents by written addenda throughout the question and answer period without naming the source of the inquiry. The final addendum will be released no later than the date outlined in Article 1.12 – Proposed Schedule of Events. It is the responsibility of the Proponents to confirm that the Administrative Authority has received their inquiries. Should the MERX system not accept the inquiry, respondents may contact the Administrative Authority by email. Respondents should include the solicitation number in the subject line.

Anticipated Period of Contract(s)
The anticipated period of contract for design services is from the date of award to 31 December 2023.
Subject to satisfactory service, terms and conditions, contingent upon approvals, budget and construction timing window, and at the City’s sole discretion, the contract may be extended to 31 July 2026 for Contract Administration and Inspection Services. An extension is to be mutually acceptable, and subject to a continued requirement by the City.
