Request for Information (RFI) #01317-57863-I01 Station Oriented Development Opportunities
Requirement:
The purpose of this RFI is to engage the private development community and to solicit industry feedback that will help the City of Ottawa to devise a strategy for “Station Oriented Development” (SOD) opportunities within its Light Rail Transit (LRT) Request for Proposal (RFP) process. Market feedback provided through responses to the Questionnaire and confidential Respondent Information Sessions will help the City assess the level of market interest in certain station oriented development opportunities, including considerations for project risks.
The function of this RFI is to inform and shape the future LRT RFP by providing design input that will protect for opportunities to integrate SOD potential at the identified station and property locations. Responses to this RFI will help the City define design and construction requirements that will protect for and accommodate SOD in the upcoming Confederation Line Extension LRT RFP.
The City has identified four (4) development opportunities that are all located along the Confederation Line (West) Extension. The identified properties have been selected based on high priority consideration from a long list of potential sites along both the Confederation Line Extension and the Trillium Line Extension.
This RFI is being run in conjunction with a two-stage procurement process to construct the Confederation Line East and West Extension Light Rail Transit project (Confederation Line Extension LRT). The Confederation Line Extension LRT Request for Qualifications (RFQ) process has recently closed. The RFQ is determining a short-list of qualified design and construction consortia who will be invited to bid on the LRT RFP to design/build the infrastructure for the Confederation Line Extension LRT.
