PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY PAYING ATTENTION TO ALL REQUIREMENTS AND DATES.
The objective of this RFSA is to qualify a maximum of two (2) General contractors for demolition and construction projects (mainly for office lay-out) for the Maison de Radio-Canada in Montreal.
1. SUMMARY OF REQUIRED SERVICES
These projects will pertain to a particular activity or initiative and meet a specific requirement that is usually accompanied by a set of responsibilities.
As a general rule, the assigned work will not consist of major projects, but may consist of components of a major project.
Each project will have a start date, an end date and predetermined tasks.
The services will include, without being limited to:
- carpentry services;
- painting;
- flooring installation;
- electricity;
- plumbing; and
- building mechanicals.
Over the past three years, CBC/Radio-Canada has spent about $100,000 per year for these types of services.
2. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
This RFSA is open only to Proponents who meet each of the following mandatory requirements:
2.1 Years in Business
Proponents must have been in business for at least five (5) years.
2.2 Mandates of Similar Nature
In order to demonstrate their aptitude to honor an agreement with CBC/Radio-Canada, Proponents must provide at least three (3) mandates of similar nature completed in the past two (2) years for demolition and construction projects (mainly for office lay-out), as evidence of their capacity to undertake an agreement with CBC/Radio-Canada
3. RFSA DOCUMENTATION
To ensure that the Offer is valid, all Proponents must obtain the documents of the RFSA.
The RFSA file package must be ordered directly from Merx.
Please note that CBC/Radio-Canada is not responsible for the distribution of the documents.
4. COMMUNICATION WITH CBC/RADIO-CANADA
Proponents may have queries, require further information or clarification, or discover certain omissions or ambiguities in the RFSA documents. If so, or if there is any doubt about the meaning of any part of this RFSA, questions must be submitted in writing by Merx as defined in PART I: INTRODUCTION , Table 1: critical dates of the RFSA process.
5. RECEIPT OF OFFERS
Offers in response to this RFSA are to be submitted through Merx no later than September 1, 2016, 2:00 pm Eastern Savings Time.
The Proponent has the sole responsibility for the timely receipt of an Offer by CBC/Radio-Canada. The Proponent cannot transfer such responsibility to CBC/Radio-Canada. The MERX clock shall be used to determine the time of receipt of the Offer, whether the time indicated on such clock is accurate or not.
Partial Offers, amendments or revisions which are received after the date and time for the RFSA Submission Closing Date will not be accepted.
