Title: TV Set Builds and Broadcast Technical Furniture (consoles) Construction for CBC-Radio-Canada
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY PAYING ATTENTION TO ALL REQUIREMENTS AND DATES.
CBC/Radio-Canada’s main purpose for this Request for Information (hereinafter ‘’RFI’’) is to identify Suppliers who may be interested in participating in a possible Request for Proposal process (hereinafter ‘’RFP’’). This RFP would aim to select the future Supplier(s), highly qualified and professional Set builders for TV production, and who may also have the ability to carry out the manufacturing of broadcast technical furniture/consoles according to the needs and specifications of CBC/Radio-Canada.
1. SUMMARY OF REQUIRED GOODS/SERVICES:
The key objectives in issuing this RFI are as follows:
At this stage, the information acquired can be used by CBC/Radio-Canada to identify Suppliers who have both the interest and ability to participate in a strategy for the second stage of the process, namely a possible Request for Proposal, and Suppliers must understand that this RFI in no way commits CBC/Radio-Canada to continue to the second stage, as well as the potential implementation of contracts before November 2020.
2. MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
This RFI is open only to Proponents who meet each of the following mandatory requirements.
2.1 Have a place of business in Canada, more specifically in the Greater Montreal Metropolitan area
2.2 Have certified building and practical standards.
2.3 Responses must be submitted by service providers directly. CBC/Radio-Canada will not entertain responses from 3rd party implementers on behalf of or in conjunction with service providers.
3. TO OBTAIN THE RFP DOCUMENTATION

4. COMMUNICATION WITH CBC/RADIO-CANADA
Any contact with CBC/Radio-Canada at this stage of the RFI must be undertaken by email only, which will be addressed to the CBC/Radio-Canada Representative for this RFI, whose coordinates appear below. All emails pertaining to this RFI must state the RFI reference number (RFI # TV20200612) in the “Subject” of the e-mail.

Once the RFI documents have been obtained, Proponents may have queries, require further information or clarification, or discover certain omissions or ambiguities in the RFP documents. If so, or if there is any doubt about the meaning of any part of this RFP, must submit their questions through MERX no later than the date specified in PART I: INTRODUCTION, Table 1: Critical Dates in the RFP Process of the main document
5. RECEIPT OF RESPONSES
Responses must be received by CBC/Radio-Canada, via electronic submission to the Merx Website (www.merx.com) no later than June 26th, 2020 at 8:00:00 pm, Eastern Time.
The Proponent has the sole responsibility for the timely receipt of a Response by CBC/Radio-Canada. The Proponent cannot transfer such responsibility to CBC/Radio-Canada. The MERX clock shall be used to determine the time of receipt of the Proposal, whether the time indicated on such clock is accurate or not.
Partial Responses, amendments, or revisions that are received after the date and time for the RFI Submission Closing Date will not be accepted.
